Prostate Cancer: Start A Screening Conversation
Ask your healthcare provider about your risk for prostate cancer. Talk about your age, family history, and whether screening is right for you.
Ask about the benefits and risks of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. An unusual test result does not always mean cancer. Your provider may need to do more tests.
If you have symptoms or concerns, talk to your provider now. Do not wait for a routine screening visit.
